The general secretary of the NFF says that the national team has improved consistently and there’s nothing to fear about Monday’s draw
General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Barrister Musa Amadu has sounded it loud and clear that the Super Eagles are now a very strong side capable of beating any team in the world.
Amadu told Goal in Abuja at the weekend that chief coach Stephen Keshi has transformed the team into a fast developing team that is waxing stronger by the day and is also improving at every match the team has played.
Amadu said he was unperturbed by the recent ranking of Nigeria which slipped to 36th best in the world but climbed to fourth in.
"I have always [said] that the most important thing is for our national team to keep on waxing stronger and winning matches which has manifested in the rebuilding exercise which the NFF has embarked on. We have provided coach Stephen Keshi with all the support he needs morally and financially to achieve success in the Eagles rebuilding exercise,” Amadu said.
Amadu declared that he was confident that no matter what team the Eagles meet in the final play-off for the 2014 World Cup, the national team would pick the ticket.
"In as much as I am confident that the Eagles won't disappoint Nigerians in their quest to win one of the tickets for the finals of next year's World Cup in Brazil, I will be very happy if we are not pitched against teams like Cameroun, Egypt and Algeria," Amadu told Goal.
