Eccentric Nigerian hip hop artist Gabriel Amanyi popularly called Terry G is happy to be alive after surviving an armed robbery attack on Sunday the 6th of October 2013 enroute an event.
According to sources close to the singer, some gunmen suspected to be armed robbers attacked him on his way to a show.

80 Years Old Solomon Lar Is Dead

The Plateau state government has announced the death of Chief Solomon Lar, the first civilian governor of the state.
Chief Lar died at the age of 80 in a U.S. hospital, after a protracted illness. The Plateau state governor, Jonah Jang, announced his death on Wednesday in Jos.
“He died at about 3.00 a.m. American time (about 9.00 a.m. Nigerian time),” the governor told reporters on Wednesday evening.
He was the first chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

ASUU: Falana Tells FG Not To Invite Obasanjo To intervene

Lagos lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), has advised the Federal Government to

 discard the idea of inviting former President Olusegun Obasanjo to mediate in the

 Academic Staff Union of Universities crisis, saying the move would not solve the problem.
Falana counseled the government to urgently reorder its priority and provide adequate funds

 to restore the lost glory of our universities.
He said such move would compel ASUU to end the strike.
